Board Culture Exposure is proud to present the first edition of the B.C.E. Summer Block Party, which will take place on Friday, July 24, from 4 p.m. to midnight, at the Mur à Gauche in the Saint-Charles neighborhood of Biarritz. For the first time, the association is organizing a summer event designed as a true celebration of board culture, bringing together photography, skateboarding, music, and a friendly atmosphere all in one place.
Organized to mark the pre-launch of the 2026 People’s Choice Award — category judged by the public via Instagram — this event will showcase the selected photographers through an immersive projection and a unique exhibition. The public is invited to discover the competing images, share a special moment with the community, and celebrate the perspectives that capture surfing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and their respective cultures.
In the early evening, the Mur à Gauche will come alive with a Best Trick Invitational Contest, bringing together a selection of guest skaters, followed by a musical slideshow of the photographs selected for the People’s Choice Award, before giving way to DJ sets by Musique d’Apéritif, in a summery atmosphere true to the spirit of Biarritz. Food, drinks, photography, music, and culture will come together to make this first Summer Block Party a festive occasion for meeting new people and sharing experiences.
Beyond the celebration, this event is also a key opportunity to support the projects of Board Culture Exposure. Proceeds from the evening will help fund the Board Culture Exposure Festival, taking place this coming October in Biarritz. By participating in this first summer edition, you’ll be supporting Board Culture photography, encouraging the artists who bring it to life, and enabling the association to continue its commitment to this creative scene.
We hope to see many of you there so we can celebrate, together, a culture that brings people together far beyond the boundaries of individual disciplines, write the first chapter of this new adventure with us, and make the Board Culture Exposure projects a reality.
