On the sand of the Côte des Basques, Biarritz.

Under the sun and the salty breeze of the Atlantic, la Côte des Basques becomes the setting for a unique and ephemeral photographic exhibition. Laid out on the sand, at the mercy of the tides and the footsteps of strollers, 60 photographs offer an escape to the ocean. As part of the second edition of the Board Culture Exposure International Photography Festival, this collective installation invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of surfing—far from the classic action shots and spectacular images.

Here, the gaze becomes poetic, dreamlike, offbeat. Surfing is approached as an art, a passion, a fleeting imprint on the surface of the water : the grain of film, the breath of a fading wave, the fragile mark left on a sandbar. The exhibition celebrates an analog and plastic approach, where each photographer allows themselves to break free from the technical codes and usual conventions of the scene.
